With the data obtained, would it be possible to establish seasonal trends of nutrient uptake of coral ecosystems from daily variation measurements?
We need to measure the nutrient concentration in the water column at different sites, over long period of time (a year) to account for seasonal trends. We could then link the concentration in the water with precipitation regimes, or tourism/agriculture activities for instance. Nutrient uptake measurements using in situ benthic chambers will be ideal.
