During the St. Maarten webinar, there was a really interesting discussion on how to communicate economic assessments results for marine ES to policy advisors. For them, presenting the island's total economic value was not helpful considering the boundaries it shares with French territories. This can also be a challenge for marine conservation since the two countries operate their environmental policies very differently. In this sense, the question is related to how St. Maarten can handle the spatially explicit results from their economic assessment to make them work only for its territory and which ways are useful to communicate results without depending on the total economic value of the case study area.
