Key stakeholders should be involved in different realms. It does not matter whether key stakeholders are dedicated scientists, NGO's, policy makers, researchers or governmental agents - examples from mainland Europe show that all of these actors can be impactful. With international regulations such as the EU Biodiversity Strategy and the EU Green Deal, there is enhanced attention to the topics of ecosystems and their services and biodiversity - a momentum also for MAES in the Outermost Regions and Overseas Countries and Territories.
