Through valuing natural capital, Wolfs Company demonstrates the economic, social and environmental contribution of sustainable investments and nature conservation. We support civil society organizations, and the public, private and financial sectors in maximizing, measuring, and communicating the benefits of investing in sustainable development. We believe that evidence-based research on the values of natural and social capital contributes to business performance, well-being, conservation of natural resources and sustainable development in general.
Wolfs Company has an extensive track record of accomplishment in the socio-economic valuation of ecosystem services using the TEEB framework. We apply our valuation work to, amongst others, conducting extended cost-benefit and scenario analyses that integrate ecosystem and biodiversity issues into development planning. We conduct our research in close cooperation with the Institute for Environmental Studies of the VU University in Amsterdam (IVM-VU). Within the MOVE consortium, we will jointly contribute to engaging stakeholders, and to assess MAES state of the art and prioritize project contributions in the Dutch Overseas Countries and Territories (Activity 2).
